Salpa Porcini Mushrooms grow in the woodlands of Calabria. They can be used in risottos, pasta dished and added to many recipes. Salpa Porcini Mushroom's flavors are enhanced when the mushrooms are dried.
Before cooking, carefully remove any impurities, leave to soak in a bowl with warm water and a 1/2 cup of white wine for about 45 minutes, then rinse with water. Porcini mushrooms have a chewy texture and a strong nutty-woodsy, sweet, and meaty taste.
